The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of registration for candidates seeking admission into Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes in Colleges of Education and Non-Technological Agricultural Programmes offered by Polytechnics.
According to the Board, interested candidates who possess the required O'Level qualifications can complete their registration at any Institutional Professional Registration Centre (IPRC) located in Colleges of Education or any accredited JAMB Professional Registration Centre (PRC) nationwide.
JAMB explained that, in line with the Federal Government's policy, candidates applying for these programmes are not required to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Instead, eligible applicants can register directly through the designated centres using their O'Level credentials.
The Board also stated that candidates who participated in the 2026 UTME but have now decided to pursue NCE or Non-Technological Agricultural Programmes can convert their applications at any approved JAMB registration centre without paying any additional fee.
JAMB noted that the initiative is aimed at expanding access to teacher education and agricultural programmes while maintaining the quality and standards of admissions into the institutions.
Prospective applicants are advised to complete their registration early and visit the nearest approved registration centre for guidance on the admission process.
