The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Taraba State University (TSU) Branch, has issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Taraba State Government over the non-implementation of outstanding provisions of the 2025 ASUU-Federal Government Agreement.
The union said the ultimatum is a formal demand for the authorities to fulfil their obligations and resolve outstanding issues affecting academic staff at the university. It warned that failure to act within the stipulated period could lead to industrial action.
ASUU TSU Issues 14-Day Ultimatum
The decision was reached following a congress resolution of the ASUU branch at Taraba State University.
The branch Chairman, Dr. Joshua Garba Mbave, disclosed the development on Thursday, explaining that the notice was issued in line with directives and resolutions of the National Executive Council (NEC) of ASUU.
According to the union, the continued delay in implementing relevant provisions of the 2025 ASUU-Federal Government Agreement has become unacceptable.
