OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES NEW DATE FOR 2026/2027 POST-UTME SCREENING, EXTENDS REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has announced a new date for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise and extended the deadline for candidates to complete their screening registration.

The in-person screening exercise, which was originally scheduled for September 1 to 5, 2026, will now take place from Friday, September 25 to Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

The university advised prospective candidates to take note of the revised schedule and complete all necessary registration requirements before the new deadline.

OAU 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening New Date

According to the notice issued by the University, the 2026 Post-UTME screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into OAU for the 2026/2027 academic session has been rescheduled.

The screening will now hold within the following period:

New Screening Date: Friday, September 25 to Wednesday, September 30, 2026

The exercise will be conducted in person, meaning candidates who are scheduled for the screening are expected to appear physically for the exercise.

Candidates who had already completed their screening registration are not required to assume that their previous scheduled date remains unchanged. They are advised to log into their profiles to obtain their updated screening details.

OAU Extends Post-UTME Registration Deadline

In addition to changing the screening dates, OAU has also extended the closing date for Post-UTME screening registration.

The new final deadline for registration is:

Wednesday, September 23, 2026

Candidates who have not completed their registration are advised to do so before the deadline.

The extension provides prospective candidates with additional time to complete the screening registration ahead of the rescheduled exercise.

Candidates should avoid waiting until the final day before completing their registration to reduce the risk of missing the deadline.

How Candidates Can Check Their Screening Date and Time

Candidates who have successfully completed their OAU Post-UTME screening registration will be able to view their individual screening information through the university's screening portal.

The screening portal is:

https://eportal2.oauife.edu.ng/ug/admissions

Access to the screening schedules will commence from:

Wednesday, September 16, 2026

Candidates are required to log into their profile using their JAMB Registration Number as the username and the password they created during the registration process.

After logging in, candidates can check their assigned screening date and time and make the necessary arrangements to attend the exercise physically.

OAU Post-UTME Screening Portal

The university confirmed that the screening registration page remains available at:

Candidates who need to complete their registration should use the designated portal and ensure that their registration is concluded before the September 23, 2026 deadline.

The university also provided a separate page where candidates can access the guidelines for the screening exercise:

Prospective candidates are encouraged to carefully review the official guidelines and follow the instructions provided by the university.

Candidates Must Attend the Screening Physically

One important point highlighted by OAU is that the Post-UTME screening is an in-person exercise.

Candidates are therefore expected to present themselves physically for the screening on their assigned date.

Those who have completed their registration should check their screening schedule from September 16, 2026, using their JAMB Registration Number and registration password.

Candidates should take note of the date and time assigned to them and make appropriate arrangements to attend the exercise.

OAU Warns Candidates Against Admission Agents

The university also reiterated that it does not endorse or encourage candidates to patronise Post-UTME or admission agents.

Candidates are advised to rely on the university's official communication channels for information concerning the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise.

This is particularly important because candidates should obtain their screening information, registration instructions and other official updates directly from OAU rather than relying on unauthorised individuals or platforms.

Official OAU Information Channels

OAU stated that its university website and official social media platforms remain the authentic sources of information concerning the screening exercise.

The official university website is:

Candidates are advised to regularly check the university's official platforms for any further announcements relating to the 2026/2027 Post-UTME exercise.
