The University of Abuja (UniAbuja) has announced the commencement of online registration for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to a notification signed by the University Registrar, Mal Alkasim Musa Umar, the online registration portal will be open from Wednesday, 12 August 2026, to Wednesday, 26 August 2026.
The screening exercise is open to eligible UTME and Direct Entry (DE) candidates who selected the University of Abuja as their first-choice institution.
Eligibility Requirements
UTME Candidates
To be eligible for the screening exercise, candidates must:
- Have a minimum JAMB score of 180.
- Possess at least five (5) O'Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Upload their O'Level results on the JAMB portal.
- Be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026.
- Ensure that their UTME subject combination meets the requirements for the course they intend to study.
Direct Entry Candidates
Direct Entry applicants must:
- Possess a recognised NCE, IJMB, ND, First Degree or HND qualification.
- JUPEB and NABTEB A' Level candidates are not eligible to apply for the Direct Entry screening.
- Upload their A' Level results on the JAMB portal and have the results verified by their former institutions.
The University noted that only candidates who meet the stated eligibility requirements will be considered for the screening exercise.
Screening Registration Fee
All eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 (Two Thousand Naira) through Remita.
How to Apply for UniAbuja Post-UTME 2026/2027
Interested candidates should follow these steps:
- Visit the University of Abuja admission portal: https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng
- Click on “Here to Apply.”
- Click “Undergraduate” on the left panel.
- Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click “Get Details.”
- Complete the basic information page using a valid phone number and email address, then click “Next.”
- Generate the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) for the screening payment.
- Proceed to the Remita payment page and make the ₦2,000 payment.
- Enter the OTP code sent to your phone and complete the payment.
- Return to the portal and click “Main Log In.”
- Use your JAMB Registration Number as your username and your surname as your password.
- Log in to the dashboard and complete the registration.
- Print your completed registration form and payment receipt for future reference.
Important Notice to Candidates
Candidates who wish to change their course of study must complete the change on the JAMB portal before registering for the University of Abuja Post-UTME screening.
