The University of Uyo (UNIUYO), Akwa Ibom State, has announced the closure date for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME registration while granting a one-week extension for candidates applying through Direct Entry (DE).
According to a press release issued by the university, the portal for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME registration will close at 12 midnight on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
However, the university has extended the Direct Entry registration deadline to 12 midnight on Sunday, August 16, 2026, giving DE candidates an additional one week to complete their applications.

- Post-UTME Registration: Closes Sunday, August 9, 2026
- Direct Entry Registration: Extended to Sunday, August 16, 2026
- Further Extension: No additional extension will be granted.
The university advised prospective candidates who are yet to complete their registrations to do so before the respective deadlines.
UNIUYO stated that after the portals close, no further applications, payments, or registrations relating to the 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening Exercise or Direct Entry admission will be accepted.
Candidates Awaiting Results Should Upload O'Level
The university also reminded candidates who selected "Awaiting Result" during their application to upload their O'Level results on both the JAMB portal and the University of Uyo Admission Portal.
Candidates are encouraged to complete the required steps early to avoid missing the deadlines.
The institution further advised applicants and members of the public to rely only on information released through UNIUYO's official communication channels and remain cautious of fraudsters and admission racketeers.
The notice was signed by Mr. Idongesit Nsubong, Acting Director, Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), for the Registrar.
