Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare, has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 admission screening exercise for candidates seeking admission into its Dual Mandate Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) and Direct Entry (DE) programmes.
Prospective applicants are advised to participate in the physical screening and ensure they meet the admission requirements before the exercise begins.
Screening Schedule
The admission screening will be held as follows:
- Date: Monday, August 3 – Friday, August 7, 2026
- Venue: Chris Abutu Garuba Hall
- Time: 9:00 a.m. daily
Admission Requirements
Dual Mandate NCE (100 Level)
Applicants must possess:
- A minimum of four (4) relevant O'Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
Dual Mandate Direct Entry (300 Level)
Candidates applying through Direct Entry must have:
- A Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE).
- Five relevant O'Level credit passes.
Documents Required for Screening
All applicants are expected to appear in person and present the following:
- O'Level Verification Code obtained from the relevant examination body (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or NBAIS).
- Evidence of 2026 JAMB registration.
- Original copies and photocopies of all academic credentials.
- Evidence of payment of the ₦2,000 admission screening fee.
Important Information for Applicants
The College has provided the following guidelines for prospective candidates:
- Candidates who previously applied for the College Degree or Affiliated University Degree programmes before the implementation of the Dual Mandate Policy will still be considered for admission into the appropriate NCE or Degree programmes.
- Applicants should obtain their O'Level Verification Codes, generate their JAMB Profile Codes, and complete registration through an approved CBT Centre or the Institution Professional Registration Centre (IPRC).
- Candidates interested in the Dual Mandate NCE programme who have not yet registered with JAMB for the 2026 admission exercise are encouraged to do so immediately.
- Admission under the current screening exercise will primarily be into NCE 100 Level.
- Students admitted before the introduction of the Dual Mandate Policy will continue and complete their existing NCE or Degree programmes without interruption.
- All admitted students will benefit from the College's Skills Acquisition Programme, offered at a highly subsidized rate.
- The institution also offers Special Education Programmes.
